| Triola Zither--This Triola Zither, ca 1920, is a rare offering in that it comes with the original wood carrying case. It also comes with 11 original rolls. The zither plays with a paper roll containing holes...just like a player piano. You turn the crank and the instrument plays. To the left of the crank are a number of "Chord strings". Next to the holes on the paper roll are numbers corresponding to the cords. So you crank the handle and strum the chords. It makes fantastic music and it is also a really neat decorator item and conversation piece. I honestly believe that this is the best Triola I have seen. I'm not set up for credit cards so I would appreciate a cashier's check. Price is $3,000. Thank you. |

Bruguier Bird Box-- A Swiss, Pierre Jaquet-Droz, made the first bird box in 1752. It was such a success that he was summoned by the King of Spain to create automata. Another early and famous maker of bird boxes was Charles Bruguier who was born in 1750. His son carried on the business until 1886. The box has beautiful enamel paintings both on top as well as under the lid and the bird has exceptional movement including its beak, head, wings and body. It is covered with real hummingbird feathers. The box is probably ca 1840 but it might be considerably older. Price is $6,000. Thank you. SOLD
